Job Opening: Global Marketing Director

Jibu is looking for an experienced marketing professional to lead planning, development and implementation of all marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities. This will include working closely with the Executive team to develop, implement, and refine the optimum marketing strategies. The Global Marketing Director will be responsible for leading the effort and coordinating the resources to ensure consistent revenue growth and ongoing development of the Jibu brand both internally and externally.

This position requires:

Job Opening: Monitoring & Evaluation Fellowship

Location:        East Africa (Kenya, Rwanda or Uganda)

Jibu is looking for a graduate student or post-graduate professional with demonstrated ability to provide expertise, analysis and leadership in a fast-paced, growing business in a developing market. The primary role of the Monitoring & Evaluation fellow is to provide impact evaluation, beginning by conducting a needs assessment of Jibu’s current data collection processes, and then developing an integrated system for impact monitoring and analysis. The Fellow will work with internal team members and external stakeholders to gather data, establish processes, and develop tools to more efficiently run the business, by creatively building integrated mechanisms to ensure customer, financial and impact data is consistently collected, analyzed and reported.

The Fellow will equip Jibu franchisees to maximize their business success, and will enable Jibu Corporate to reach its Key Performance Indicators. Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing surveys and other quantitative methods (in partnership with external survey firms) to quantify and analyze customer and community impact.
  • Building internal, incentivizing systems for regularly collecting customer demographic & sales data, and facilitating customer relationship management.
  • Collecting baseline information on Jibu franchisees, microfranchisees, and employees including changes in their income, skillsets, etc. after joining Jibu and a cost/benefit analysis of hiring women and youth.
  • Managing donor and investor relations:
    • Writing quarterly, annual and project reports for internal and external stakeholders including private donors, equity investors, foundations, corporate and government partners
    • Developing and implementing donor-funded projects including an IT integration platform
    • Managing the consumer data collection and analysis for a carbon credit program based on emission reductions from energy savings
    • Tracking and evaluating the impact of Jibu’s Water Club program
    • Coordinating a Board of Directors Impact committee
