During the Kigali Car Free Day on Sunday 21st May, Jibu Rwanda Celebrated Mothers with different JIBU Gifts especially Jibu Fortified Porridge and Jibu Yanjye Bottles (Aluminium bottles).

Kigali Car Free Day, is an initiative by the City of Kigali to make Kigali a green city whilst encouraging good health and strengthening its efforts to combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

On this day, drivers are urged to forgo their cars and motorcycles in favor of more eco-friendly modes of transportation including walking and cycling. The Car Free Day began in 2016 as a once-a-month event, organized and managed by the City of Kigali. It became quite popular, drawing large crowds that included His Excellency, President Paul Kagame, and government leaders. The City of Kigali made Kigali Car Free Day a twice-monthly event in 2017, a year after it first took place.

As Jibu we strive to help our communities have access to healthy products for their families. From safe and affordable water which is enjoyed by the majority of the Rwandan population to LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) for clean energy and our fortified porridge. Over the past decade we have seen a reduction on deforestation as people have stopped boiling water because they can now afford purified and bottled water due to our franchise model that brings the production units to your community through our network of local business people. We dream of a place where all our children eat healthy and the whole family uses clean gas. Jibu Gas.

So as we celebrated Mother’s month we gave away goodies during the last Car Free Day of May. Thank you to the great mothers that joined us. It was all fun playing games, walking and jogging together. Cheers to these Rwandan superwomen and let us celebrate them EVERY day!
